Reset Password - Changing/Resetting Passwords & Forgotten Passwords

Each user is required to log in to the system in order to access their files, for which they require a User profile and a password. A user can change their password by following the below steps:

1. I know my current Password

If you can log in with your current password and just want to change your password to something new, follow these steps

1.1. Access Reset Password

From the Main Menu, select File, then Reset Password.

Or, from the Main Menu, select Tools => Administrative => Reset Password.

1.2. Enter your current Password in the field 'Enter Old Password'.

1.3. Enter the new Password.

You will need to enter it twice to ensure that it is correct.

1.4. Click Update.

1.5. Re-Login.

You will now need to re-login with the new password. In the main menu click File, then Re-login.

2. I have forgotten my current Password

If a user has forgotten their current Password, an Administrator will need to create a new password for them.

2.1. Login as Administrator.

Only the Administrator or a user with the permission 'Allow User to Change Other Users' Passwords' can reset a password if a user does not know their current password.

2.2. Access Reset Password

From the Main Menu, select File, then Reset Password.

Or, from the Main Menu, select Tools => Administrative => Reset Password.

2.3. Select User to edit.

From the User Name dropdown, select the user who you want to edit the password for.

2.4. Enter new Password.

You will need to enter it twice to ensure that it is correct.

2.5. Click Update.

2.6. Re-Login.

The user will now need to re-login with the new password. In the main menu click File, then Re-login.
