Security Options for the Secure Client Portal – MFA Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

When collecting client information and documentation, security has never been more critical. MM has options to boost the security of an account in the Client Portal for your client, offering 2 Factor Authentication (2FA/MFA).

Your clients can add 2FA as an extra layer of security to ensure that only they can gain access to their Secure Client Portal. Users can turn on 2FA for their account using the Menu button and selecting Setup 2FA.

Your client will enter their username and the automated password to access their Secure Client Portal. Then, by using the Menu in the Secure Client Portal, your client can go through the steps required to set up the 2FA, which is managed using MFA authenticator applications, including Google Authenticator Authy, Microsoft Authenticator or Lastpass Authenticator, etc.

Once your client has set up the 2FA/ MFA feature, they will be the only ones able to log in to their Secure Client Portal. MM cannot turn off the 2FA/MFA once the client has set it up. If clients wish to turn off the security feature, they can turn it off once logged in on the Secure Client Portal.
