Creating a shortcut to Migration Manager on your Desktop or Taskbar

If you are missing or need to replace the Shortcut to Migration Manager on your Desktop or Taskbar, use the following procedure.

Note: Your Migration Manager program folder will either be called:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Migration Manager
or
C:\Program Files (x86)\Leap Migration Manager

1. Start by navigating to your Migration Manager program Folder

Open Windows File Explorer.

Desktop

Navigate to your C:\Program Files (x86)\Migration Manager or C:\Program Files (x86)\Leap Migration Manager folder.

2. Find the MigrationManager.exe

Scroll down until you find the MigrationManager.exe file.

3. Create the Shortcut

3.1. Add a Shortcut to your Desktop

Right-click on the MigrationManager.exe, select ‘Send to’, then 'Desktop (Create Shortcut)'.

(Note: on Windows 11 machines you may need to Right-click on the MigrationManager.exe, select ‘More options’, then select ‘Send to’, then 'Desktop (Create Shortcut)'.

3.2. Add a Shortcut to your Taskbar

Right-click on the MigrationManager.exe then select 'Pin to Taskbar'.

(Note: on Windows 11 machines you may need to Right-click on the MigrationManager.exe, select ‘More options’, then 'Pin to Taskbar'.

Your Shortcuts have now been created on the Desktop and Taskbar.
